Matteo was a great and knowledgeable guide (and driver). It was fun to explore alleys and back streets while seeing most of Rome’s best sights. Iconic ConciergeSeptember 9, 2026The coolest way to experience Rome! A few years ago, we did a similar sidecar tour in Singapore, so when we discovered that you could do it in Rome, we were thrilled. Because really, what could be more Italian than experiencing the Eternal City on a Vespa — well, technically, in the sidecar of a Vespa! :) We opted for the 3-hour morning tour, and it was simply amazing. In our opinion, this truly is one of the best ways to experience Rome. What we loved right from the beginning is that they actually listen to what you want to see and experience and will customize the route to your interests. They picked us up directly at our hotel. In our case, we had two Vespas with two fantastic drivers, plus a separate guide. We were given headphones, so we could hear our guide perfectly while riding, ask questions along the way, and learn about the city without missing a thing. And you don't just drive around and look at the sights. You stop several times, either for photos, to explore a landmark, or simply to take in the views. And one of the biggest advantages? You sidestep the lines!! We stopped at the Trevi Fountain, where our guide took us right down to the fountain and even took photos of us. We visited the Pantheon, again skipping the lines, and our guide gave us a fascinating explanation of the history and architecture. We also stopped at the Colosseum for photos, along with several other incredible viewpoints around the city. And then there was a coffee break at a cute little restaurant, where we had what may have been the best filled croissants we have ever tasted! This is the coolest way to explore Rome, learn about its history and make some unforgettable memories along the way! Three hours went by far too quickly. The entire experience was incredibly well organized, fun and informative. You get to see so much more of Rome than you ever could on foot, while still having plenty of opportunities to stop, explore and take photos. If you're visiting Rome and want to experience the city in a completely different way, we can only highly recommend a Vespa Sidecar Tour.Posted on Tripadvisor

From pick up to eating pizza to photos at the Colosseum - everything was absolutely brilliant. The food went beyond expectation - we thought it'd just be a slice of pizza from a takeaway....little did we know it was a beautiful restaurant, amazing gourmet pizza and delicious wine too! Such a bonus! Barbara - our guide - was wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable and a trip to the Trevi Fountain plus wishing coins were also part of the tour - so unexpected, and such a nice touch. Really enjoyed our time with him. Definitely recommend seeing the city this way at the beginning of your trip because now we know what all we want to back and spend more time at. The Pantheon was so amazing and really glad we could spend so much time in there. Lisa RAugust 25, 2026Best way to see Rome. We spent 10 days in Italy with our 4 kids ranging from 17 to 7 and this was by far the most fun experience we had. Our tour guide Matteo was fantastic - of course knowledgable but more importantly so full of joy (greeting friends everywhere we went), considerate of needs of all our kids (hard to do with the large age range) , and for me, at least, above all else - he took fantastic pictures for us along the way. Its hard for our family of 6 to get pics all together and he knew all the best spots and nailed the shot every time. You get VIP , skip the line treatement at the Tivoli fountain, Pantheon, etc which makes the whole expereience so smooth.Posted on Tripadvisor

There is a reason the Vespa Side Car Tour in Rome is rated one of the top attractions out of over 3000 activities to do in Rome. My husband and I did this tour with the owner Luca a few years ago and when we recently returned to Rome with my family I knew they would love to experience it too. I corresponded directly on the hotel website, which is very informative and in great detail. I communicated with Giorgia who provided great service. Be sure to book early as it is very popular. I booked a private 3. 5 hour tour for my family and Luca and the other drivers picked them up at our hotel in Rome. Luca is very knowledgeable of all the sites and has great stories to tell about each place you see. He is very engaging and lots of fun to be with it. You will go all over Rome and there is no way you could see all this on your own. At the end of the tour they were dropped off at a great Pizza retaurant Giorgia recommended. Luca spoke the entire time of the tour. They give you ear pods under your helmet. I have recommended this tour to every friend going to Rome and they all loved it. I suggest booking it in the beginning of your stay in Rome- so you can see what neighborhoods you may want to go back to visit. It was truly a highlight of my family in Rome! We booked a private tour for my husband, our three children (ages 10, 8, and 5), and me, and every single one of us was engaged the entire time. Barbara made us feel so comfortable and brought the city to life in a way that kept even the kids interested. This was such a wonderful way to see Rome. Because we were on Vespas, we were able to explore charming alleyways and cover so much more of the city than we ever could have on foot. It was also incredibly hot during our visit, and I honestly can’t imagine doing any other type of tour that day. The cooling mist on the vests was such a thoughtful touch and made a huge difference! This was our second Vespa Sidecar tour in Rome with this company - the first was a morning ride with friends and the most recent was an afternoon ride with our two grandsons. It was just as wonderful the 2nd time as it was the first. Our two drivers picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and made sure we were completely comfortable on what was an extremely hot and sunny afternoon. They had an ample supply of bottled water and a misting bottle that they frequently sprayed us with to help us keep as cool as we could be. They had tickets for the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon and they even gave us coins for the Trevi Fountain! The lead guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites in and around Rome that we passed by or stopped at (the Pantheon was a special treat!). They also took loads of pictures and videos of us enjoying the sites. They even took some where we posed as if we were "driving" the bikes. Best tour of the Europe trip!!! Our family of 4 just completed the best tour of our whole Europe trip. A friend told us it was a must do, and it totally was! We had fun taking turns in the side cars. Our drivers had great energy and kindness even on the hottest afternoon ever. The little gelato spot was the best we have tried, and the knowledge our guide gave was fantastic. We learned so much about the city and now have some great places to keep exploring with the rest of our trip. Plus it was so fun and helped manage the temps even in the heat. I felt sad for the poor golf cart tour kids by comparison as we zoomed around. As a family, it was also great to get so many family pictures instead of the squished family selfie or the everyone but mom picture. Absolutely a must do with this group. This was the most fun thing we did during our week in Rome! Don’t miss it. We booked the private Vespa tour for a family of 3. I’ve always had a fear of motorcycles, but felt very safe as our professional drivers navigated all the roads and stops. Monica was our guide; she was this tiny Italian lady with an over the top infectious personality - she had us laughing and enjoying the entire trip. We visited all the Rome highlights and made many stops - at an city overlook, to go in the Parthenon, to see the Trevi Fountain (Monica even gave us a coin to through in as she explained the custom.) We were given an earpiece that fits under the helmets so Monica could navigate our entire tour - we learned so much! Even our 14 year old daughter wanted to spend more time with Monica (when you’ve entertained and caught the imagination of a teenager, you are really amazing - thank you Monica!). We also stopped at a delicious gelato place for a snack; they had cold bottles of water for us on the Vespas. Thank you Vespa Sidecar Tours and Monica for the perfect day!! We did the Vespa morning tour on our first morning in Rome as I thought it would be a great way to see the sights on the first day. It was absolutely fantastic. Everything was well organised. Felt very safe and comfortable. It was very hot and the guides had a spray water mist and bottles of water to cool us down. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took photos at all the stops. He knew all the best places to get the best photos! The coffee stop was a lovely touch too. I wasn’t expecting a restaurant stop with a choice of drink. The croissants were delicious and it was good to have a toilet stop. I have already recommended to friends that have asked me for tips when going to Rome. A bit expensive, but it is something the family will remember vs typical walking tours. It was a warm day and the stop for gelato was perfect. I selected this tour because it is a longer tour and included stops at Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. If you want something different, the Vespa Sidecar tour is definitely something to consider. AshaJune 17, 2026Vespas are superior and I can’t wait to come back We had a great time with this Vespa group. We got the meetup location mixed up and were running about 10 minutes late, but we called them and they let us meet them at the second pickup point and we hopped on from there. Didn’t even miss anything. Loved when our driver went super fast and it was so fun watching them weave through traffic and cut people off. They even took some photos of us on the bike. My only feedback, would be to make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the Pantheon or bring a scarf/longer pants. Staff were super-friendly and our guide, Monica, was awesome and a real hoot, very knowledgeable about the historical buildings, churches, monuments, etc. You will ride on Rome's broad avenues and its narrow, curving streets and alleys on cobblestone, getting into places that feel secret and intimate as well as those that are crowded and famous. Pizza tasting was wonderful, restaurant was beautiful. This was a wonderful introduction to Rome. Per il nostro anniversario, il mio ragazzo ha scelto un modo davvero speciale per ricordarmi quanto Roma sia affascinante, nonostante ci viviamo da oltre 25 anni. In sole tre ore di tour abbiamo potuto ammirare alcuni dei monumenti e dei panorami più belli della città, accompagnati da Monica, una guida preparatissima, colta e appassionata del suo lavoro, capace di farci innamorare di Roma ancora di più. Un complimento anche ai piloti dei sidecar: simpatici, disponibili e sempre gentili. Il tour è iniziato alle 19:00 da Piazza della Repubblica e ci ha portato alla scoperta di luoghi meravigliosi. Una delle tappe è stata una caratteristica pizzeria artistica, dove abbiamo gustato una pizza eccezionale accompagnata da un calice di vino, tutto compreso nel prezzo. Successivamente abbiamo visitato il Gianicolo, il Pincio, il Colosseo e molti altri luoghi che preferisco non svelare, così da lasciarvi il piacere della sorpresa! L’organizzazione è stata impeccabile: ci sono state offerte bottigliette d’acqua e, dopo le 20:30, anche delle giacche per chi soffriva un po’ il fresco sul sidecar (io 😂). È un’esperienza che vale assolutamente ogni euro speso. La consiglio di cuore a chiunque voglia vivere Roma da una prospettiva diversa, autentica e divertente. You are given an ear piece so while you are riding you can hear about the sites you are seeing. You definately get around to parts of the city that would not be easily accessible to cars or buses. Seeing the city and all the magnificent Roman sites and ruins lit up at night while riding in an iconic Vespa is magical. Our guide was smart, engaging and super informative and our driver was patient and very safety conscious. Our gourmet pizza was absolutely scrumptious. The delighted smiles and waves we received as we passed through narrow streets too small for cars are still imbedded in my memory. A stop at the Trevi Fountain with an unexpected "skip-the-line" ticket while a special projection light show played across the façade was a real treat. The meeting point was easy to find and our tour guide Matteo provided a memorable experience. What a fun way to get an overview of the city and famous sights. The morning tour included coffee and a delicious filled cornetti at a cafe. Tracy BMay 21, 2026Get your very own "Roman Holiday" - book a private Tour! After the transatlantic trip from hell, this was just what I needed. I love scooters and own a vintage Vespa, so this was ideal. Luca couldn't have been a more generous, accommodating, and knowledgeable guide. I started missing him the instant he left for his next tour. If you'd really like to feel like you're in Rome with all of its sights and smells and sounds, this is the perfect way to see it. And if you don't mind feeling like a Movie Star, with fellow tourists AND locals taking your photo from buses, cars, scooters, and even the sidewalk, this is also for you. I have an autoimmune disorder that makes me super stiff, and I was worried about too much jostling and walking, but I did fine, especially when the ever-patient Luca finally got me trained on how to get in and out of the sidecar. He really wanted me to get as much as possible out of the trip and watched over me like a mother and a bodyguard. I ended up taking his arm on the cobblestones because of my stiffness, the crowds, and crushing jet lag. (Oh, and I was dressed for fashion instead of function because, well, Rome.) Alesio and Sam were our drivers and they were just so lovely and friendly and knowledgeable. It was truly the best way to see the highlights of Rome ( and we felt like celebrities for a few hours). They gave us plenty of opportunities for photos and prime locations and access to prime locations as well! An essential experience to see Rome from a different perspective, passing through the city’s main landmarks in a light, dynamic, and very fun way. We also had exclusive access through the agency, which made everything even more special. As a point for improvement, we suggest just two adjustments: initially, we had a bit of difficulty locating the exact Vespa meeting point. Perhaps including a clear photo of the location with visual references would help a lot — especially for foreigners. Additionally, it would be excellent to offer the tour in Portuguese as well. This is the second time we have done the Vespa tour with Vespa side cars and it did not disappoint. There’s nothing quite like whizzing through the cobbled streets of Rome in a Vespa, taking in sights that are absolutely breath taking. Our guide was fantastic and very engaging, even my 9 year old son was captivated by the tales of Ancient Rome. Seriously, the ground covered could have taken three days of walking and waiting in long lines, but all was enjoyed from the seat of a Vespa with stops everywhere to enjoy up close. Our guide Matteo shared the history of every area and other fun facts as we made our way throughout Rome from the Trevi fountain, to the Pantheon, a drive by the Vatican, the highest peak for the ultimate view of the city, to the Colleseum, and more in between. Our 9 year old had the time of their life and stayed cozy under a provided blanket, and a stop for hot chocolate and choco pastry (cappuccino e Cornetto for me!) It’s a great way to see many sites in a condensed period of time and get an overview of the city— the perfect way to start a visit to Rome. Alessio and his team were great guides. They outfitted us with helmets and provided headsets so we could easily hear Alessio’s narration as we cruised through the city. They also had blankets for the kids in the sidecars, as it was a bit chilly in the morning, which was a nice touch. They took nice photos of us in front of several iconic Roman sites. Besides the fabulous sites visited, it was hilarious watching the expressions of everyone as we passed by. The guides were all so very gracious with my Mom. Definitely 10/10 recommend this tour. We had Monika as our guide, talking to us through wireless radios while we zoomed around Rome, hitting all the top spots. Our drivers, Luigi, Lorenzo, and Sam, were super nice and polite. The pizza at Vico was amazing. We also made a stop at Fatamorgana Gelato for some of the best gelato we've ever tasted. We were new to the city and Matteo did a fantastic job zipping us around, providing both historical facts and context to be able to better understand what we saw. He handled our entry to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain deftly and got us some terrific pics. (Our photo from the Trevi Fountain makes it look like we were the only ones there!) Equally importantly, Matteo was incredibly personable. We enjoyed chatting with him throughout the tour about life in Rome and traveling in general. Finally, I strongly recommend touring Rome by Vespa bc it combines the greater touring range allowed by motor vehicle with the intimacy of viewing from street level. Plus, it’s just really fun!
